Alexandra on Life Reviews
Hello my name is Alexandra. I will be sending Love from Wales from time to time so please watch out for my posts!
I want to share one of the things I love doing. I write Life Reviews which can be life changing. I did one for myself in the middle of the pandemic and as a result of it and the clarity it brought me, I moved to the glorious West Coast of Wales.
Doing a Life Review doesn’t mean you have to sell up and move. It means giving yourself the gift of time to pay close attention to yourself – this can take some doing if you are working, a parent or carer or someone who has never thought themselves worthy of self-care. Remember L’Oréal adverts? Never forget: ‘You’re Worth It’.
A Life Review is light touch, it’s reflection without blame, it enables you to unfold your life’s narrative in a safe space – no judgement – in a supported review with an empathetic companion to help you do it. A Life Review is a good way of checking, getting perspective – finding out what counts and what doesn’t – or what shouldn’t – allowing yourself to grieve or give up, giving yourself the space to bring your life story to account but only for you, for your purpose, for no one else and, crucially, it can give you permission to make changes.
I believe in the power of writing not only relieve a busy cluttered brain but to give valuable signposts to take your life in a new direction.
